Our Casting Sessions

During our baby casting  sessions we keep things calm & relaxed. We will be led by baby. First we massage those little feet & toes. Secondly we mix up a gloopy mixture & gently pop baby's hand/ foot into it.

This will set within minutes to a soft rubbery texture. We wiggle baby out & the mould is made. We can cast whilst baby is awake, asleep, feeding or even wiggling!

During our toddler/child/family casting sessions we will keep things fun. There are always toys at the ready. We can cast whilst playing & chattering, in between tickling & chasing!

Our framed plaster casts are usually finished within 4 weeks & our solid bronze sculptures within 12 weeks. Each of our casts begin in the same way with the initial mould making. The difference being to become solid bronze metal casts we work through a highly skilled process. This involves silicone moulds, wax casts & ceramic shell building before reaching the molten metal stage. We fire all of our bronze casts ourselves. We take great pride in each part of the process to maintain those treasured intricate details in each & every cast.
